It’s been a great three years blogging– the reconiction, the networking, the self-expression and everything else.  But I am completely moving on to my fashion designs now.

Due to reasons I will not post, I have quit my internship with CollegeFashionista– if you’re interested in being a Style Guru for that site and wanted some input, feel free to drop me a line for my honest opinion about the internship :)!

Anyways, I got to meet up with Vannessa Lewis to do a shoot for casual college campus attire!  Her shoes are my favorite part of this ensemble– the back heels are studded and sparkly~
I also have a thing for stripes– especially with sweaters (and now that Spongebob Squarepants song is playing in your head…).  Needless to say, I endorse this outfit and I would actually wear something like this to school!

Vannessa and I go way back and even did cheer in high school together (please don’t ever talk to me about high school cheer. Ever.).  It was nice to briefly catch up with her– hopefully when the weather in Sacramento gets colder we can meet on campus for coffee!  Currently, she’s studying Child Development and had quite a lot going in her life: on a track to get a degree from a four-year degree, a job she enjoys, a great sense of humor and a warm heart.  I am proud to know this young woman and I love talking to her about anything from fashion to life happenings.

Geek Chic– or another cliche title

I have been hitting up conventions yet again this year!  Besides running this upcoming Summer 2014 SacAnime’s J-Fashion Runway, I have been to Anime Expo and San Diego Comic Con to see their fashion panels!

This was my first AX ever and although I came to their fashion show late, but I got to see to see Kawaii International and Kimura U!  I also got back into cosplay and made League of Legend’s Lulu (photo by: https://www.facebook.com/nerdacracy)

At SDCC, I saw a panel on the geek fashion industry that included Blackmilkclothing, ThinkGeek, Gold Bubble Clothing and more!  The panel itself was insightful and I learned a lot!  I even wore my BMC Ravenclaw shooter to the convention!

I had to honor to work as the backstage manager for GNO 2014!  I didn’t get to take a lot of photos but I gained a lot of experience that I plan to utilize for when I run SacAnime Summer 2014’s J-Fashion Runway!  For GNO 2014, I was able to help out with designer Teresa Truong, Article Consignment Boutique, Krazy Mary’s/Sugar Shack and French Cuff Consignment backstage as well as assist stylist Rachel Chaudoir and watch a hair demonstration by Morrison Chea (of DESMO).
