Jenny rocked the Kuro Ero set to a ‘T’! She and I kind of matched a bit with out edgy-esque outfits. I was honored to wear Cyril Lumboy’s new dress– named ‘Her Rocking Highness’! I’m not used to modeling anything ‘punk’ related– I was actually scared to do so! ‘What if I couldn’t channel the unabashed spirit of the dress?’ was the thought plaguing my head for the week before Fanime’s ‘dolldelight panel x fashion show‘ panel. However, I tried my best and I think I did well!
My cosplay is featured in a published book called 1,000 Incredible Costume and Cosplay Ideas!
Babydoll from Sucker Punch was my most ‘well-known’ cosplay in the community– a collaboration of my mother and I, we made this costume for SacAnime Summer 2011! Two years ago! But everyone loved me in it– I felt like a Disney Princess with a katana the way people were awing at me and wanting to take pictures with me!
With Fanime closely approaching in San Jose, so is the dolldelight Fashion Panel on Saturday, May 25th! The official Facebook invite to the event can be found here— it’s public, so join and click ‘going’ if you’re attending!
Although I am excited to walk for Cyril Lumboy again, I am also very excited for Fanime itself– I’ve never been to Fanime before! And Fanime attendees get access to the Steampunk Convention right beside it– Clockwork Alchemy! Steam Powered Giraffe and Unwoman are attending as musical guests there– musical artists that are dear to my heart. Plus, all the neo-Victorian fashion that will be there!
